Strange Encounter

ok i wanna talk about my strange encounter last nite... u see i was sleeping when my phone rings... i pick up and see who got the nerve to call me at 2.23am risking being severely shoot at by me... this happen quite often when ppl call me up in the middle of the nite wit no good reason... well as i looked at the caller id it's duen duen... so i answer the call holding back my temper... this is how the conversation goes...

(all the dialog is in cantonese)

me : yeah ?

duen: hello... ah soya ? u slept ?

me: (being half sacastic) no... why ? (actually i am sleeping)

duen: my house got broke into...

me: wat !?

duen: i think the theif is still down stairs

me: ok ok... i'll come over rite now

duen: ok

so i woke rain up and told her bout the desperate cry for help... i wanna go alone but rain insisted on following... so the 2 of us got up and drove to duen's place... the 1st thing i check is the front door... i didnt get off the car straight away for safety reason... i juz light up my head lights at the front gates... doesn't look like it's broken into... so i call duen an told her that her front door seem ok... she then told me that she scare that the theif came in from the back... so as not much choice i have i circle around the back and find that my car cant fit in the back alley... really not wanting to get off my car i circle back to the front and grab hold of my baton, carefully take a good look around, remind rain to lock the car doors after i get off, take a good look around once more, jump thru the gate then approach the front door. i check on the locks. no sign of break in. so i went back to my car and circle back to the back once more. this time i really have to check out the back. i direct my head lights as good as it can to light up the surrounding. remind rain to lock up the car again as i go. slowly walk thru the darkness covered back alley. every step i took is full of pressure and worries. not knowing wat's ahead i keep on. when i was almost half way in i notice that there are many dark spot that anyone could easily hide and ambush me. so i took the steps ahead as cautions as i can. i finally reach duen back door. the 1st thing i do is check on the locks and the windows. no sign of break in too. relieved i got back into the car and call up duen again and told her that there are no sign of break in. yet i ask her to slowly come down from her room to open the front door for me without hanging up. she did. i got in. check up from the inside and confirm that it's a false alarm. yay... happy ending. so much for the nite.
